After the showing: three emails that keep buyers talking to you

A free playbook for realtors · October 17, 2026

After a day of showings, buyers go home and talk it over. A short note from you in the days after keeps the conversation going and helps you learn what they really want.

For: Buyers you have just shown homes to.

The plan

  1. Day 1: thank them and ask what stood out. Their answers to "what did you like, and what felt wrong?" are the best guide to the next homes you show.
  2. Day 3: offer a next step. More homes like the ones they liked, or another round of showings. Add your booking link so they can pick a time.
  3. Day 7: one friendly check-in. If the timing has changed, make it easy for them to say so. No pressure.
  4. Call the ones who are ready. Emails keep the door open. A buyer who is ready to make an offer still deserves a call the same day.
  5. Stop when they decide. Once they buy with you, or tell you they're done, the emails stop.

The words

Copy them as they are, or change them to sound like you.
