Hoping for word of mouth vs. referral links
Most agents get some of their best clients from past clients who mention them to a friend. It happens on its own, but you rarely know who sent whom. Here is what changes with a referral link for each past client.
Side by side
| What you need | By hand | With Zallant |
|---|---|---|
| Making it easy to pass you on | Your client finds your number or your website and sends it. | Each past client has their own link and QR to forward, with words they can use. |
| Knowing who sent the friend | You ask, and hope the friend remembers. | The new lead shows the past client who sent them. |
| Thanking them | If you find out who it was. | A reminder to thank them, and a list of your top referrers. |
| Asking at the right time | When you remember. | Gentle reminders with their link about a month and three months after you served them, and a yearly note. |
| Reviews | You ask them to post a review somewhere. | Clients leave a review on your own page, with the date and time, behind your QR. |
When doing it by hand is fine
Word of mouth on its own is fine if you have only a few past clients and keep in touch with each of them personally.
